It's been two years since we last took part in Manchester Pride celebrations, as Covid-19 cancelled all plans in 2020, and somehow restricted the program for this year, too.
We were extremely honoured to be asked to close the weekend by performing during the Candlelit Vigil on Monday 30 August. The Vigil is a moving moment of reflection and celebration held in Sackville Gardens, at the heart of Canal Street and where Alan Turing's statue, The National Transgender Memorial and the Beacon of Hope are.
We shared the stage with the Sunday Boys and the talented Passmore, who provided lead vocals on "Everybody's free", and we wrapped up the Vigil with "Freedom 90" by George Michael.
